SBI has been issuing advice and warnings from time to time to prevent fraudsters from deceiving customers. With the proliferation of technologies, fraudsters are infiltrating various sites and stealing customers’ information and money.

In this regard, SBI Bank has amended its Terms of Advice for their customers. SBI lists the ways in which fraudsters can deceive customers. In particular, SBI has warned against text messages urging customers to update their bank account details. SBI has pointed out one of the messages sent by fraudsters to deceive customers. In the message sent by the fraudsters, “Dear customer, your SBI bank account documents have expired. Your account will be blocked within 24 hours. Update your KOYC details by clicking on this link.

In a warning to customers, SBI said, “SBI will never ask you to update / complete KOYC details via SMS. Be safe and alert. ”

SBI Bank has posted an example of a message sent by fraudsters on Twitter. In addition, SBI has released the hashtags #YehWrongNumberHai, #SafeWithSBI and #AmritMahotsav. The post said, “Like #YehWrongNumberHai, this is an example of how KYC fraud can happen. This SMS will cause fraud. You will lose your savings. Do not click on embedded links like this. When it comes to SMS check if there is a very valid short code of SB. Be safe and alert. ”

The link sent by the fraudsters via text message is the same as the one sent by SBI Bank. Fraudsters will get customers’ account details when they click on the links in it. As a result, they transact large sums of money from their customers.
