As part of the volunteer program COP29 The selection of volunteers to participate in the global climate conference COP29 has been completed. Thus, the stage of trainings important for improving the knowledge and skills necessary for the participation of volunteers in COP29 has been completed.

“As you know, over the past months, in order to comprehensively inform and improve the competence of participants in the COP29 volunteer program in preparation for the conference, a number of different general trainings have been conducted for them, covering such important topics as personal development, sustainability, climate change, environmental protection and COP29 process. Volunteers who successfully completed the general training stage were involved in special role-playing training.

These trainings were conducted by specialists from the relevant structural units of the Azerbaijan Operating Company COP29 and included specific tasks and responsibilities that volunteers will perform during the COP29 conference. At this stage, volunteers were introduced to the departments in which they will work, met with team members and were informed about their job responsibilities during COP29. In accordance with the results of the training stage, 3,000 volunteers were selected in 17 departments of the Operating Company who will work in 35 areas. These volunteers will be gradually involved in work in the fields of hospitality, transport, logistics and other operational areas from October 14.

And from November 3, trainings with the participation of volunteers will begin at the Baku Stadium, the venue for the final stage of the program. At this stage, volunteers will be visually familiarized with the infrastructure of the event venue, various sites, including the Blue and Green zones, and volunteers representing various functions on the site will work on coordinated work skills,” the statement said.
