Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega sharply accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, calling them “sons of Hitler.”

In a speech broadcast on Canal 6 Nicaragua, Ortega said both leaders were pursuing a policy of “terror”, comparing their actions to the ideology of the Nazi regime.

The Prime Minister of Israel is Hitler, he calls for the destruction of peoples… He also accused Vladimir Zelensky of trying to drag NATO into an armed conflict with Russia, describing him as “another Nazi, the son of Hitler.”

At the end of his speech, Ortega recalled the fate of Adolf Hitler, who, in his words, “found his death in Russia,” hinting that a similar fate could befall modern leaders, whom he compared to the Nazis.

Earlier, Cursor reported that Nicaragua filed a lawsuit against Germany over its support for Israel.

Nicaragua has filed a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice demanding that Germany stop exporting arms to Israel and reverse the decision to stop funding the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

The hearing, which will last two days, begins on Monday in The Hague. It is part of a wider case brought by Nicaragua accusing Germany of violating the Genocide Convention and the laws of war for its support of Israel.

“By supplying military equipment and cutting off funding to UNRWA, which provides vital assistance to civilians, Germany is contributing to genocide,” the statement said.

German government spokesman Wolfgang Büchner said Germany would present its case in court but said the allegations were unfounded.

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Germany is Israel’s second-largest arms supplier after the United States, accounting for about 30% of its imports. Until January this year, Germany was UNRWA’s second-largest donor, but cut funding following Israeli accusations that agency employees were involved in crimes committed by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 attack.
