Overseas, the election campaign in the United States is in full swing. According to polls, there is still no clear favorite. For the first time, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris gave an interview to the conservative Fox News media.

The nearly 30-minute interview was tense from the start, with host Bret Baier and vice president Kamala Harris frequently interrupting each other. The hottest topic was illegal migration.

Fox released a clip in which a mother blames the border policies of the Biden administration for the death of her daughter. The accused are two undocumented men from Venezuela.

“Do you owe these people who lost loved ones an apology?” asks the host.

“I am so sorry for her loss. I am truly sorry. But let’s talk about what’s happening right now,” Kamala Harris replied.

She also responded to criticism from Republicans that she would be no different from current President Joe Biden.

“My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency. And like any new president, I will bring my life and professional experience as well as fresh and new ideas. I represent a new generation of leaders,” she said, quoted by bTV.

Less than a month before the presidential vote, a record number of voters went to the polls in early elections in the state of Georgia – more than 300 thousand. Georgia is one of seven states expected to play a key role in the Nov. 5 vote.
