Manchester United coach Ralph Rangani has responded to Roy Keane’s question about the veracity of reports of an injury to Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo was left out of Manchester United’s squad for the match against Manchester City due to injury.
“We’m talking about Ronaldo being a machine and rarely injuring him … This does not add up to me,” Keane said in response to reports that Ronaldo was injured.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Manchester United’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City, Ranknick reacted to Keane’s statement.
“I have to trust my medical department. My doctor came to see me before training on Friday morning and then he told me that he could not train because of some problems with Cristiano Ronaldo’s hip flexor. That was also the case on Saturday.
At the same time, The Athletic reports that Ronaldo’s decision to fly to Portugal ahead of the match between Manchester City and Manchester United came as a shock to his teammates.
