Kolkata: Gokulam Kerala FCI League finished second in the standings after beating Real Kashmir by five goals to one. In the first half, Jamaican Jordan Fletcher and Slovenia’s Luka Majusen scored two goals while Gokulam completed the scoring through Jitin MS in the second half. This is the first time Gokulam has beaten Real Kashmir in the I-League. Brazilian Thiago scores a consolation goal for Kashmir.

Gokulam took the lead in the fifth minute of the first half. Real Kashmir’s Prakash Singh was given a red card by the referee and Gokul was awarded a penalty for handling the ball in the penalty box.

Luka took the lead and gave Gokul the first lead. After the first goal, Gokul’s dominance was seen later. Within a minute, Jordan Fletcher extended Gokul’s lead through Luke’s assist.

The third goal was scored by Huck’s cross. Huck, who came to the right, extended the ball to Fletcher. Fletcher’s powerful shot gave Gokul the third goal. Gokulam scored Luke’s third goal in the 38th minute. Kozhikode native Tahir Zaman’s shot hit the Real Kashmir goalie’s leg. Luka scored his second goal without missing an opportunity. Jitin Gokul scored his fifth goal in the second half. Gokul’s next match will be against Kenger FC on March 12.
