Everything is ready for a new edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held for the 2024 version in the Dominican Republic.
In total, there are two venues that will host the 16 participating teams, among which the presence of the national team led by Carlos Paniagua and Spain, current and defending champions, stand out.
From October 16 to November 3, women’s soccer will be the protagonist with multiple matches in the cities of Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros.
This is how the groups for the 2024 U-17 Women’s World Cup are made up
Colombia is part of group B, along with the United States, the Republic of Korea and Spain. Precisely, the final was played against the Europeans in the India 2022 tournament.
Here’s how the four groups of the U-17 Women’s World Cup are formed:
Group A: Dominican Republic, Ecuador, New Zealand, Nigeria.
Group B: Spain, United States of America, Republic of Korea, Colombia
Group C: Korea DPR, Mexico, Kenya, England.
Group D: Japan, Poland, Brazil, Zambia.
How will the Under 17 Women’s World Cup be played?
The teams will compete in the recognized group stage, in which the first two teams from each sector will qualify.
The teams that progress will compete in the quarter-finals and beyond, the semi-finals and finals, among the best in the competition.
