Hence, the importance of developing nexus projects adapted to each situation to tackle the root causes of instability and insecurity, insisted the diplomat who is leading the Moroccan delegation to this PSC meeting.

The diplomat reiterated that Morocco remains firmly attached to the principle of active solidarity in order to support African countries in their process of political transition towards constitutional order, to the need not to leave these brotherly African countries isolated in times of crisis, and this, in a spirit of solidarity and benevolence and the importance of security, socio-economic and humanitarian support which should be provided to these brotherly African countries so that they can resume their place in the concert of members of the AU as soon as possible.

Morocco also remains committed to stability in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Guinea and Gabon and continues to express its unwavering confidence in the capacity of the national authorities and active forces of these countries to take measures likely to strengthen national cohesion and to embark on a sustainable path for peace and stability, reaffirmed the diplomat.

In addition, Morocco underlines the importance of working within the framework of a calm and inclusive dialogue in order to prioritize the stability of its countries, added Mr. Arrouchi.

Emphasizing the operational dimension, as part of an action-oriented approach, the Ambassador, Permanent Representative stressed the need to maintain regular informal consultations with these countries in transition which are of capital importance in the process of their support in order to remain attentive to their specific expectations and needs as well as those of their respective populations and keep communication channels open, in accordance with the CPS Protocol and these relevant press releases on the subject, in particular CPS press release 1180, adopted on October 23, 2023.
