It has been 12 days since Russia launched its war on Ukraine, a member of the Soviet Union. Russia, with its immense strength, is destabilizing Ukraine.
Russia has attacked Ukraine from the north, east and south, attacking cities including Kiev, Kharkiv and the port of Mariupol. The invasion, which began on February 24, has caused the worst refugee crisis in Europe since World War II.
Provoked outrage around the world and led to severe sanctions on Moscow.
Russia has said it is ready to suspend military action “in a moment” if Ukraine agrees to its terms.
List of conditions put forward by Russia:
– Ukraine must suspend its military operations.
– Ukraine must change its constitution to maintain neutrality.
– Recognize Crimea as a territory of Russia.
– Donetsk and Lukansk should be recognized as independent countries.
Russia has said it will end the war immediately if Ukraine agrees to the four conditions.
