Goheung-gun (Governor Gong Young-min) is taking full steps to enter the Chinese market for local agricultural products and processed foods, and held an agricultural and food loading ceremony at the Eden Food Agricultural Cooperative Corporation in Duwon-myeon on the 15th.

This event is a project jointly promoted by Goheung-gun and the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services, and was prepared to support the overseas expansion of local farms and companies by participating in an online sales contest for Chinese college students with excellent processed foods from Goheung-gun.

A total of 5 companies, including Eden Food Agricultural Cooperative Corporation and Clear, Bright and Warm Cooperative, participated in this loading ceremony and submitted 10 items, including citron and pomegranate processed products. A total of 15 people, including Park Yong-cheol, director of technical support at the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services, and representatives of each company attended the event to congratulate Goheung-gun on exporting excellent agricultural products.

Goheung-gun’s processed food was shipped immediately on October 15th, the day of the loading ceremony, and is scheduled to meet local consumers through an online sales contest for Chinese college students from October 28th to November. After the competition, an awards ceremony and performance report will be held in late November.

For this additional selection, one young person each from the fishing industry and small business industry was selected through the first document review, second business site inspection, and third deliberation among those who were publicly recruited in August, and they were selected for the cost of ship engine replacement and store environment improvement. Each will receive up to 20 million won in support.

At the deliberation meeting on this day, the committee members requested that active promotion and discovery be needed so that young people trying to establish themselves in the region can receive many benefits.

A military official said, “We will continue to prevent the outflow of young people living in rural areas and revitalize the region by quickly responding to the inflow of the young population through active and practical support and policy development, such as housing, jobs, and stability of life for local youth.”

In addition, he said, “We plan to hold an additional open recruitment in October for young people who wish to participate in the family business succession youth support project, and we will actively promote it so that many young people can participate.”
