Chaired by the president of the CAHB, Mansourou Arémou, the opening session of this meeting was marked by the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Confederation, and the president of the Royal Moroccan Handball Federation (FRMH), Hanafi Adli.
This meeting is part of the strengthening of coordination within the CAHB, in favor of the development of handball on the African continent.
During this meeting, the members of the Council approved the minutes of the various meetings of the Council and the executive committee.
After approving the financial report for the 2024 financial year and the forecast budget for 2025, the members of the Council reviewed the various competitions contested in 2024 and adopted the program of activities for 2025.
In a statement to the press at the end of this meeting, the Executive Director of the CAHB, Fadiga Namama, welcomed the smooth progress of the work of this meeting, noting that “the CAHB is planning for the future, with good prospects, to strengthen the capacities of its various bodies”.
Ms. Namama also indicated that this meeting was an opportunity for the Council to evaluate the activity report of the statutory bodies.
The Executive Director of the CAHB also indicated that the Council focused on strengthening the capacities of technical managers, through the creation of structures dedicated to this purpose, with a view to increasing performance.
Furthermore, she announced that the Confederation has entered into partnership agreements with certain media companies and sports equipment manufacturers.
For his part, the president of the FRMHB, Hanafi Adli stressed that holding the CAHB Council meeting in Laâyoune in the presence of all its members is of great significance.
He also noted that the African Handball Confederation has closely observed the different sports infrastructures available and adapted to host such competitions.
Likewise, he welcomed the success at all levels of the 45th edition of the African Championship of Handball Champion Clubs.
Organized by the FRMH, under the aegis of the CAHB, from October 10 to 19, the 45th edition of the African Championship of Handball champion clubs (men and women) is marked by the participation of 27 teams representing 11 African countries.
The semi-finals of this Championship (men and women) are played this Friday, while the final of this high African handball event will take place on Saturday.
Remember that the city of Laâyoune hosted in May 2016, the 32nd edition of the African Championship of handball cup winning clubs (men and women), as well as the African Super Cup in this sporting discipline.
