International road passenger transport: the steering committee holds a meeting with professionals
Rabat – The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, chaired on Tuesday a meeting of the steering committee with professional representations of the international road passenger transport sector, as part of the sectoral dialogue process.
During this meeting which took place in the presence of the officials concerned at the ministry “in a climate of mutual trust and constructive exchange”, the ministry presented the results of the joint work with professionals during the year 2023, indicates a press release from the ministry on Friday.
This meeting was also an opportunity to identify the projects which will constitute the joint work program for the year 2024 and which concern in particular the preparation of the summer period, the digitalization of services linked to this mode of transport and the examination of the possibility of simplifying customs control operations for coaches, as well as the continuation of work relating to the revision of the Highway Code, specifies the press release.
On this occasion, professionals expressed their satisfaction with the approach adopted by the ministry and the initiatives aimed at reforming the international road passenger transport sector and professionalizing it, underlines the ministry, adding that the two parties agreed to continue dialogue and joint work.
At the end of this meeting, all representations of the international road passenger transport sector approved and signed the minutes of the meeting relating to the assessment of joint work and the work program for the year 2024, notes the same source.
