Shinan-gun Dream Start has launched the ‘Correct Posture Program’. Shinan-gun (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced that it will run the ‘Correct Posture Program’ in Anjwa-myeon and Imja-myeon from October to November for children in the Dream Start growth period.

This program is a pilot project in 2024 and will be conducted three times per town and township in collaboration with Professor Park Sam-heon of the Department of Physical Therapy at Sehan University. The program aims to improve spinal health and physical function through customized diagnosis for children, and also includes activities to strengthen family bonds by promoting interaction between parents and children.

Park Woo-ryang, mayor of Shinan County, said, “Formation of correct posture in school-age children is an important measure of lifelong health, and we hope that through this program, children will learn correct habits and grow healthily.”

Shinan-gun Dream Start provides physical/health, cognitive/language, emotional/behavioral, and parent/family services to vulnerable children and families under the age of 12 in the area, helping them grow into happy members of society. The correct posture program is also evaluated as an important project that supports children’s physical development and strengthens community connections.

Meanwhile, Shinan-gun held an opening ceremony for the new public Heuksan Hana Daycare Center. On the 11th, Shinan-gun (Governor Park Woo-ryang) held an opening ceremony for the new national and public Heuksan Hana Daycare Center in Heuksan-myeon, with Shinan-gun Governor Park Woo-ryang, Hana Financial Public Interest Foundation, Hansol Childcare Foundation, and about 50 local community officials in attendance.

Heuksan Hana Daycare, which had its opening ceremony this time, was selected as a contest project for the ‘Hana Financial Group National and Public Daycare Support Project’ in May 2021, and construction began in January of this year and was completed in August.

Heuksan Hana Daycare Center, which was directly operated in Shinan-gun, was renamed Heuksan Hana Daycare Center when it was selected for a public contest and moved to a newly built building with support from Hana Financial Group.

The newly built Heuksan Hana Daycare Center had a total project cost of 1.726 billion won, with 770 million won for Hana Financial Group, 291 million won for national highways, and 666 million won for military expenses.

Shinan County Mayor Park Woo-ryang said, “It is not an easy decision for a local government with poor finances to build a new daycare center in a rural area, and without Hana Financial Group’s public offering project, it would have been difficult to build a new daycare center.” He added, “The construction of Heuksan Hana Daycare Center is a public-private partnership.” “This is a representative example of win-win cooperation and will serve as an opportunity to overcome the reality of population extinction and low birth rates,” he added.

The ‘Hana Financial Group National Public Construction Support Project’ is part of the social contribution project ‘100th Hana Daycare Center Construction Project’ being promoted by Hana Financial Group. Shinan-gun was selected for the 2020 public contest project and opened the Shinan Northern Hana Daycare Center in Jido-eup.
