The Governor of the State of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, met this morning at the National Palace with the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. In this meeting, they were able to establish the presentation of the major agendas and the pending work to be done together between the Federation and this entity.
The president reported that key projects such as the maintenance of federal highways, the completion of Line 4 of the Electric Train, the sanitation of the Santiago River, security coordination, among other agendas, were presented to him. Likewise, the invitation was extended to him to organize a tour of Jalisco at the end of next month.
“We talked about the issue of federal highways, I explained the situation in which the federal network found itself and that it was urgent to intervene and the truth is that the President took the approach very seriously. We agreed that we are going to have communication with the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation to make a route and a work agenda that will allow us to fix the roads that are destroyed in our state,” Alfaro mentioned.
He added that he invited the President to take a tour of L4 at the end of November. In addition, he informed him about the sanitation work that this administration implemented to rescue the Santiago River, confirming that it was a commitment to environmental and public health matters.
“And she also reaffirmed the commitment to enter, from the Federal Government, with some projects that are essential to be able to advance and complete the infrastructure that is required for the sanitation of our river,” Alfaro explained.
In the dialogue, topics such as the airport in Chalacatepec and the security agenda were discussed, in which points to work on in the future were identified.
The Governor expressed that this meeting was positive and added that the President has a very structured style, being that she is a woman who knows and understands what is happening throughout the country, so he said he was satisfied to know that Claudia Sheinbaum is clear about what is being done in Jalisco.
“The meeting was very useful, I think it is very good news for Jalisco, above all we agreed that he will be visiting us towards the end of November to be able to have an agenda and an intense tour of many important projects,” Alfaro concluded.
