AMD today announced the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series workstation processor lineup, driven by the 64-core Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX processor, designed for professional users. Theardripper Pro will be available in five variants which they start at 12 cores and go up to 64, with eight-channel DDR4 support. We pass from Zen 2 to Zen 3 architecture, for higher single-thread performance. The clock frequency goes up to 4.5GHz in single-thread for all models. The chips have an additional layer of security typical of Zen 3, the Shadow Stack, to keep data and IP addresses safe. AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series processors will be available starting March 21through the Lenovo partner with the P620 workstation available in Italy from May starting at 3,099 euros.
