Are you tired of your phone’s connectors being full of dust and dirt? With this tip you can clean them in seconds.
A phone is an object that can accompany us for years. While using it, it is normal for your phone to get slightly damaged or filled with dirt. However, it’s crucial to keep your device in the best possible condition, not only to keep it running, but also if you want to resell or pass it on to a third party in a few years.
There are all kinds of techniques for cleaning a smartphone. Whether it’s a soap and water solution or even white vinegar for your device’s screen, you’ll have no shortage of tips to improve the condition of your smartphone.
But if there’s one small area that few people give importance to, it’s your phone’s connectors, microphones, and speakers. However, these small holes are important as they can cause the device to malfunction. A poorly maintained or never cleaned USB port can accumulate so much dust and dirt that you simply won’t be able to charge it! In this case, the only solution is generally to go to a dedicated repairer, but issuing some tickets in the process.
Fortunately, there is a technique for cleaning phone holes. The latter is very simple and is based on an object that we all have at home: adhesive tape. To clean the holes on your device, take a roll of tape and cut a small piece that you will place over the holes you want to clean. This could be your phone’s charging port or speakers.
Then take a thin, hard object like a pin or paper clip and press the tape into the holes you want to clean. Don’t force it too much either. The goal is simply that the tape is well fixed on your device so as to catch all the small dirt stuck inside it. Once this is done, just take a pair of tweezers and remove the tape. You should find some dirt stuck to it!
If there is any large dust left, you can also use tweezers to catch it directly in the phone. However, this technique is not easy to implement for speakers, which are generally too small. Do this cleaning every now and then, especially when you notice dirt in the holes of your phone, and it will be in much better condition after several years of use!
