Young Green‘, a non-profit organization made up of young farmers in Yeongcheon (CEO Na-eun Jang, crew Hyun-don Shin, Seung-jin Lee, Sang-eon Park, Hye-young Jeon, and Young-hwan Eom), is holding the Yeongcheon youth agricultural exhibition ‘Farming: Everyone Can Become a Farmer’.

Young Green is a non-profit organization created by young farmers in Yeongcheon to revitalize the local community. Youngcheon City Cultural Empathy Center Citizen Contest Project (Culture and Arts Project – Citizen Participation Type) is part of the Yeongcheon City Cultural Specialized Area Creation Project in 2024. It has been selected to provide agricultural-related horticultural experiences and exhibitions.

This exhibition was planned to reduce the distance from rural areas, which are close to real life yet feel distant, and various rural experiences and photo zones will be provided along with guidance from young farmers from Yeongcheon. Through this, we plan to provide citizens, from children to adults, with experiences that can bring them closer to rural areas.

In particular, this exhibition features goods events and instant photo events to encourage active participation from visitors, and you can also enjoy special moments showing the daily lives of young farmers.

The exhibition, which marks its second anniversary this year, will be held for five days from the 23rd to the 27th at the Yeongcheon Byeolmuri Art Center (9, Gueup 1-gil) from 1 PM to 7 PM on weekdays and from 10 AM to 7 PM on weekends. .

Na-eun Jang, CEO of Young Green, said, “I hope that this exhibition will not be just a simple exhibition, but will be an opportunity for visitors to pay more attention to rural areas and, as the title of the exhibition suggests, to understand and coexist with each other,” and said that they would do their best to prepare.

Meanwhile, the Yeongcheon-si Sinnyeong-myeon Community Security Council (Co-Chairmen Cho Soo-jeong and Lim Byeong-il) conducted a ‘Sinnyeong Jangsu Bath’ bathing support project for 70 participants in the local senior citizen social activity support project (jobs for the elderly) on the 18th.

This project is a specialized project of Sinnyeong-myeon, operated with funds raised from the ‘Together Happiness Treasury’ raised through donations from residents. It was designed to help unemployed seniors in areas with poor bathing facilities live a healthy retirement life without financial burden. For the inconvenient seniors, the Community Security Council and honorary social welfare officials helped them move by providing transportation convenience.

Public Relations Commission Chairman Soo-jeong Cho said, “We hope that this project will help senior citizens living a healthy and clean life after retirement, and it is expected to greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to create a tight welfare safety net through cooperation between the public and private sectors.” “I will do my best,” he said.
