The incident where an actress who was busy as Tamil Malayalam was abducted in a car and sexually harassed a few years back has shocked many. Actor Dilip was also charged with involvement in the incident and was arrested and jailed for three months. He is currently out on bail and starring in films.
In this situation, another case was registered against Dileep for plotting to kill the investigating officers and Dileep was also interrogated. Following this, actor Dileep had filed a petition in the High Court seeking that the case be diverted to the CBI. .
The trial court rejected Dilip’s request and dismissed his petition. The court also ruled that there was nothing wrong with further questioning new witnesses in the first case and ordered the police to complete the trial by April 15.
