The Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered the waiver of jewelery loans of up to Rs. Authorities discovered these abuses.
Then, under the various conditions imposed by the government, more than 10 lakh beneficiaries have been selected. They are being given discounted jewelry and a loan waiver certificate.
In this context, the Co-operative Department has directed the Co-operative Audit Division to conduct a special audit on the beneficiaries selected for the jewelery loan waiver. Following this, the Co-operative Audit Division officials have started the inspection process.
In each zone, the study has been initiated by the Urban Co-operative Banks, District Central Co-operative Banks and Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit Societies in the districts.
