The United States is investigating the leak of highly classified intelligence documents about Israeli plans to retaliate against Iran. This was reported by the CNN television company with reference to sources, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

According to her information, documents classified as “top secret”, dated October 15 and 16, began to spread on the Internet after their publication in the Middle East Spectator Telegram channel. Based on the information in the documents, only countries members of the Five Eyes alliance, which includes Australia, Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand and the United States, should have had access to them.

As CNN notes, in one of the documents compiled by the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the Israeli transfer of ammunition is mentioned as part of preparations for a strike on Iran. The American National Security Agency, in turn, disclosed data on Israeli Air Force exercises using air-to-surface missiles.

According to another document, Israel has nuclear weapons, but the United States did not see the Jewish state’s intentions to use them in an attack on the Islamic Republic, CNN points out.

A US source told the television company that the purpose of the investigation is to determine the circle of people who had access to the Pentagon documents. The investigation into the leak will be conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Defense and American intelligence services.

Recently in the United States, unknown persons opened fire on a crowd.
