INDH: Some 909 projects programmed by the INDH in the Marrakech-Safi region for 2022

These projects concern the programs “Catching up on deficits in infrastructure and basic social services in under-equipped territories” (35 projects), “Support for people in precarious situations” (129 projects), “Improving income and economic inclusion of young people ” (369 projects) and “Improvement of human capital of rising generations” (376 projects), according to statistics from the Regional Human Development Committee (CRDH) of Marrakech-Safi, meeting Tuesday in Marrakech.

This meeting, chaired by the wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, governor of the prefecture of Marrakech, Mr. Karim-Kassi Lahlou, was marked by the presentation of the progress of the implementation of the programs of the INDH at the regional level for the period 2019-2021, which reached approximately 82% for the 2,565 projects programmed, for a total cost of 1.4 billion DH.

These projects concern the programs “Catching up on deficits in infrastructure and basic social services in under-equipped territories”, “Support for people in precarious situations” and “Improving income and economic inclusion of young people”.

Thus, some 759 businesses were created for the benefit of 897 beneficiaries, expected to offer some 1,958 jobs in the short term and more than 5,428 jobs in the medium term.

During this working meeting, the Head of the Social Action Division in the wilaya of the Marrakech-Safi region, Mr. Anouar Tlemçani Dbira, presented a detailed presentation on the progress of the implementation implementation of the INDH programs at the regional level for the period 2019-2021, of the INDH regional program for the year 2022.

The audience was also invited to follow presentations on the regional action plan relating to preschool education for the year 2023, the regional action plan relating to training and capacity building for period 2022-2023, and on the action plan relating to the carrying out of studies relating to value chains at the regional level.

In the preschool sector, some 1,299 units have been programmed at the regional level for the period 2019-2021, with 1,191 units completed, to which will be added 456 units programmed for the year 2022. This program should benefit more than 36,000 apprentices.

Mr. Dbira also focused on the progress of studies relating to the 9 value chains included in the program to support value chains with high potential in terms of job creation, which concern ecotourism, textiles, aromatic and medicinal plants, Coding, plant products, Argan, milk and olives.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Kassi-Lahlou, estimated that thanks to the tireless efforts deployed by all partners, the results of the three and a half years of the third phase of the INDH in the Marrakech-Safi region are very ” positive” and “motivating” despite the difficulties encountered due to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.

He also indicated that as part of the program “Catching up on deficits in infrastructure and basic social services in under-equipped territories”, the planned projects concern the strengthening of infrastructure in the sectors of education, rural electrification, drinking water, and the construction of roads to open up remote areas, and improve the socio-economic conditions of disadvantaged categories.

It is also about contributing to the rehabilitation of health structures in the region and the creation of new infrastructures, including maternity and childbirth centers and health centers, while ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary equipment. necessary.

After reviewing some statistics and general data relating to the achievements accomplished since the launch of the third phase of the INDH in 2019, Mr. Kassi-Lahlou stressed that these results should motivate all partners to continue their efforts and ensure support, field monitoring, continuous evaluation and achievement of objectives. The aim being to succeed in improving the various programs and guaranteeing their convergence with other programs of the public sectors and local authorities, and to pave the way for other quality achievements, able to fit perfectly with the New Model of Development (NMD), through the mobilization of all resources and energies around a vision of a promising future, in accordance with the High Directions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

At the end of this working meeting, the regional project relating to peritoneal dialysis of children with kidney failure in the Marrakech-Safi region was unanimously approved.

With a total cost of 3 million dirhams, financed entirely by the INDH, this project benefits 30 children.
