The administrative body of Al-Hashd Club said in a statement received by Agency that it “denounces and deplores the position issued by the Iraqi National Paralympic Committee, which is in harmony with the decision of the Paralympic Volleyball Federation, according to which the Paralympic volleyball team of Al-Hashd Club was deprived of participating in the Iraq Club League, even though our club He previously won the title last season, and the Paralympic Volleyball Association did not explain the real reasons behind this deprivation and invoking flimsy and baseless arguments related to the registration of players.”
The statement added, “In the context of our protest, we confirm that the management of the Popular Mobilization Club has not received any official letters related to this regard, while we believe that the conflict of interest and the combination of the presidency of the Paralympic Volleyball Federation and the financial secretariat of the Wissam Al Majd Club is what caused our team to be deprived of participation, as it is considered… Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi Club is the only competitor to Wissam Al-Majd Club in winning the title in this event.”
The statement continued, “Given the narrow vision of the president of the federation and the predominance of his club interests, this prompted him to take the aforementioned decision, which is not compatible with the principles of fair sports competition. And as we express our protest, we warn of the consequences of committing such administrative violations, and that we will resort to all legal frameworks that protect Our club’s right and you pay the damage on its behalf.”
