Kadiatou Ly, founder and executive director of the NGO La Dynamique pour l’urgence Féminine (DEF), received an award in the “Global Emerging Young Women” category, and was also named Global Peace Ambassador during the prestigious ceremony of Presidential Humanitarian Leadership Awards, held in the legendary “Delegates Dining Room” of the UN, Friday, October 18, 2024.
This distinction and this nomination are the fruit of his bravery and his commitment to the emancipation of young people. His multiple interventions during meetings at the United Nations headquarters contributed to his selection.
“This award and this nomination encourage and excite me to continue my efforts and my fight for the emergence of young people in my dear country, Guinea. It is an honor for me to have been selected. This confirms my commitment and dedication,” she said.
She also appealed to young people in Guinea, particularly young girls, encouraging them to work and fight for their cause: “The time when women were relegated to the background is over. »
During this event, 12 people were named World Peace Ambassadors following training. The Humanitarian Platinum Leadership Awards program is an annual event that recognizes committed and talented people.
Kadiatou Ly is now the first Guinean to receive this prestigious prize for emerging young women at the UN.
