The official spokesman for the Egyptian Zamalek Club announced that the club is considering an apology for the completion of the Egyptian Super Cup, which is being held in the UAE.

Zamalek club spokesman Ahmed Salem said that there is an urgent meeting between club president Hussein Labib and the board of directors present in the Emirates regarding the Egyptian Super Cup final match against Al-Ahly.
Salem added – through his official Facebook account – that the urgent meeting is discussing “an apology for completing the Egyptian Super Championship and returning to Cairo as soon as possible.”
The official spokesman for the Zamalek club confirmed that this meeting and thinking about the issue of withdrawal and not completing the Egyptian Super Championship came due to what he described as “the inappropriate atmosphere and the intolerable pressures to which the mission is exposed.”
He explained that the President of the Zamalek Council and the head of the mission are present at the police station. Because of the officials’ decision to detain the players and the administration’s insistence not to abandon them.
Zamalek qualified for the Egyptian Super Cup final after winning 5-4 over Pyramids on penalties, after the regular time of the match that was held on Sunday at Al Nahyan Stadium in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, ended in a 1-1 draw.
The match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek in the Super Cup final will be held next Thursday, October 24, after Al-Ahly defeated Ceramica in the match that was held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, by two goals to one.
