The next IEC? Tralite has received a license to supply electricity

by time news

The Electricity Authority has granted Tralite a license to supply electricity, which is expected to make it a major player in the field of electricity supply in Israel.

On March 7, 2222, the Electricity Authority granted the renewable energy company Tralight a license for electricity supply, which is expected to make it a major player in the field of electricity supply in Israel.

The renewable energy company Tralite initiates, establishes and promotes two private solar projects (the Baka project and the Taanach 2 project) that are considered the largest in Israel (hundreds of megawatts), so that the license it received will allow it to communicate directly with various consumers (business, home, etc.). They have electricity and offer means for energy efficiency (for example charging stations for electric vehicles)

The company intends to focus on the sale of clean and green electricity that will be produced in its renewable energy facilities, so that the license to supply electricity under the new market regulation in the electricity sector is a significant growth engine for it. The company intends to supply electricity through high-voltage and high-voltage projects with one goal – to meet the growing demand for electricity from renewable energies on the part of consumers.

The company will serve a dual role: a producer of electricity using solar energy and its supplier. This means that the company will be able to maximize profits from its projects. However, the company intends to expand soon and sign additional power supply agreements with various consumers (some of which are considered particularly large). It currently has an exclusive partnership with the Moshav movement and has invested in a number of technology companies, both in the areas of green energy and in the areas of energy efficiency processes.

The company intends to adopt the “green supplier” model used in many countries around the world, a model in which the electricity consumer has the option to directly choose his electricity supplier – which allows him to decide in which electricity he invests: renewable energy or fossil fuels.

Even before receiving the license from the Electricity Authority, Traleit announced the establishment of an independent “Energy Performance Certificate” (EPC) entity (unrelated to its subsidiary Traleit Solartech Ltd. TST in which it is a 62% partner), which will allow the company to adopt a strategy for all Longevity of the solar system The company believes that this strategy will increase its level of profitability twice (both in the construction of projects and in the maintenance of projects), will contribute to accelerating the construction of the systems and their efficient and optimal maintenance.

Tralite CEO Rani Lifshitz predicts that in the coming years the company will generate hundreds of megawatts of electricity. He promises that the company will do everything to maximize its activity and profitability, in order to meet two main trends that increase demand:

  1. Demand from international companies operating in the country and committed to consuming “green” electricity generated from renewable energy sources
  2. Demand from private households who want to pay less for the electricity they consume.
