The Hearing for the Imposition of Measures against a structure dedicated to illegal human trafficking has been taking place since midday, as reported by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
Investigations reveal that the defendants charged up to $16,000 to transport the victims to the United States, using blind spots on the border of Las Chinamas, Ahuachapán, among others.
The defendants in this case are:
- Queen Nohemí Pineda Guillén
- Santos Manuel Echeverría Echeverría
- Xiomara Lisset Rivas de Alas
- José Alexander Deras Caravantes
- Edwin Leones
- Elizet Zambrano
The defendants face charges of illegal human trafficking, illicit groups, concealment in special cases of money laundering, as well as money and asset laundering.
The FGR has requested the Second Court against Organized Crime of Santa Ana to decree provisional detention for all the accused and for the case to advance to the next stage of investigation.
