The composer and lyricist will also sing her hits Thank U, Ironic or You Oughta Know from the 1990s, the organizers announced on Monday. The eighth year of the event will take place from June 19 to 21 at the Prague Exhibition Center.

Alanis Morissette turned 50 this year. “She is a world star who fundamentally influenced an entire generation of listeners and musicians with her songs. Her live performances are an extraordinary experience, as evidenced by the great reviews and feedback from fans after her tour in the USA this year,” says David Gaydečka, festival director.

Sting, Iggy Pop, Liam Gallagher, David Byrne or bands Kraftwerk and Jamiroquai have already performed on it. Advance ticket sales for the next edition of Metronome will begin this Friday, October 25th on the website.

But then she fled to India and devoted herself to yoga. “I let my career be my career and lived my life,” confided the woman who Rolling Stone magazine called “the queen of angry alternative rockers.”

To date, she has won seven Grammy Awards, a Brit Award and two Golden Globe nominations.
