CAF Awards 2023: The African Interclub Player of the Year award is the culmination of “intense and continuous” work (Fatima Tagnaout)

Marrakech – The African Interclub Player of the Year award is the culmination of “intense and continuous” work, said, Monday in Marrakech, Fatima Tagnaout, player of the Moroccan national team and AS FAR , who received this trophy during the CAF Awards 2023 ceremony.

Speaking at a press conference following the annual African football awards ceremony, Tagnaout expressed her pride in having won this trophy which means a lot to her and which required exemplary discipline and rigor.

“I am very happy to win this prize in Morocco. I dedicate this trophy to HM King Mohammed VI, to the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and to my club,” she said.

For her part, her compatriot Nesryne El Chad, elected best young African player of the year, expressed her joy at being crowned in Morocco, saluting the work of all the people who contribute to the influence of Moroccan football.

The player of the Moroccan national team and LOSC Lille affirmed that “we will continue to work to bring women’s football to Africa”.

Morocco hosted for the 2nd consecutive year the CAF Awards, which celebrate the excellence of African football, after the 2022 edition held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora.
