jpnn.comJAKARTA – The University of Indonesia (UI) has finally put an end to the speculation circulating in the community regarding ESDM Minister Bahlil Lahadalia’s PhD graduation.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UI and dissertation co-promoter Bahlil Dr. Teguh Dartanto provided official clarification regarding Bahlil’s academic process.
He emphasized that all the stages Bahlil went through were in accordance with the regulations in force at UI.
Teguh Dartanto emphasized that Bahlil had fulfilled all administrative requirements based on Chancellor’s Regulation no. 26/2022, especially Article 20, which regulates that the doctoral program study period is scheduled for 6 semesters and can be completed in a minimum of 4 semesters or a maximum of 10 semesters.
“Bahlil has taken 4 semesters, namely the Even Semester 2022/2023, Odd 2023/2024, Even 2023/2024, and Odd 2024/2025. “Therefore, administratively, I signed an agreement for the dissertation to advance to the promotion stage,” said Teguh Dartanto in his official statement, Thursday (23/10/2024).
According to him, administratively, legally and formally, Bahlil is fit to advance to the doctoral promotion stage.
“The only debate is when it will be implemented, but procedurally and academically, he has fulfilled it,” he said.
Teguh also explained that Bahlil had completed the academic publication requirements, which is one of the prerequisites for graduating from the doctoral program at UI.
