The National Korean Beef Association announced on the 23rd that the number of people eligible for support for the Korean beef baby food project will exceed 10,000 this year, the third year of the project.
On the 22nd, the National Korean Beef Association signed a business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government for the ‘Korean beef baby food support project for nutritional management of underprivileged infants’ and decided to provide Korean beef meat to families with infants and young children in underprivileged groups in Seoul for three consecutive years.
The Korean Beef Baby Food Support Project is a social contribution project of the National Korean Beef Association that started with the purpose of creating a healthy future for Korea by providing Korean beef meat to underprivileged families with infants and young children. It started as a pilot project in Seoul, which has the lowest average birth rate in 2022. We supported 3,300 people in 2022, 3,074 people in 2023, and plan to support 4,000 people this year.
At the signing ceremony for the Korean beef baby food support project held at the Seoul City Hall conference hall on the 22nd, Kim Tae-hee, director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Citizen Health Bureau, said, “The number of babies born nationwide is 250,000, and the total birth rate in Seoul has fallen below 0.6.” He added, “It is a difficult time to have a child, but also to raise a child well. He said, “The Korean beef baby food support project is a meaningful project that helps children raise their children healthily.”
Min Gyeong-cheon, president of the Korea Korean Beef Association, said, “The support for Korean beef baby food is a project filled with the sincerity of Korean beef farmers who hope to improve the rearing environment for vulnerable groups, overcome the social problem of low birth rate together with society, and solidify a healthy future for Korea.” “We hope that the support project will expand nationwide and that positive awareness of the Korean beef industry will grow as well,” he said.
