I actually started very early, at 15. A friend of my film agent mother. She asked me: would you like to audition? I found myself on Rai1 in Everything can happen. They trusted, they saw something in me. I was small, unaware. Benedetta Porcaroli’s adventure in the world of cinema and TV began almost by chance: born in Rome on 11 June 1998 after making her debut on the small screen as Federica Ferraro in 2016, she joined the cast of the successful film by Paolo Genovese Perfetti unknown. Tonight, in prime time on Rai 1, we can see her next to Vittoria Puccini and Edoardo Leo in 18 gifts (2020), a film directed by Francesco Amato inspired by the true story of Elisa Girotto, the mother from Treviso who before dying in 2017 (a only 40 years from breast cancer) has packed 18 gifts for her daughter Anna, one for each Christmas they won’t spend together. For her interpretation of her Benedetta got a nomination for best supporting actress at the David di Donatello and at the Nastri d’Argento, winning the David Giovani 2021 Award. And this is not the only curiosity about her.
