B.LEAGUE, which is in its 9th season, is getting closer to the world every season, and this season will definitely reach an even higher level. In this context, I think the responsibility of the “B.LEAGUE Monthly MVP by Japan Post” selection committee, which is in its third season, is increasing. This season too, as the chairman of the committee, I will engage in lively discussions with the members and fulfill my responsibilities as far as I can to contribute to the world of basketball.

I never thought an opportunity like this would come my way. I felt the weight of the responsibility upon me, and a great reluctance accompanied the feeling of incompetence to take over such an irreplaceable person as Mr. Masanaka. However, even though he has retired from playing and lives a peaceful life, he still has a desire to express the desire of basketball and players, and decided to join the selection committee for the “B .LEAGUE Monthly MVP by Japan Post”. There are probably as many MVPs as there are people who enjoy basketball. Among those, I want to choose based on the most common denominator that will satisfy as many people as possible, based on the efforts of my predecessors.
[Coiste roghnúcháin: Yoshitake Matsushima]

He currently serves as an assistant professor and head coach of the basketball club at Kokushikan University.

I am Ryogo Matsushima, the head coach of the Kokushikan University Basketball Club, and I have been selected as a member of the MMVP selection committee for the 2024-25 season. Last season was great too thanks to everyone involved. Thank you very much. I am delighted to have been selected as a member of the selection committee this season. During the off-season, the Japanese representative worked extremely hard at the Olympics. Because of his performance that surprised not only Japan but the world, I think the expectations of fans and boosters and those who have not seen him are still higher than last season. To meet those expectations, I feel that I have a responsibility in selecting the MMVP, even more than last season. We hope that we will have many passionate and in-depth discussions about the players’ performances and that it will be something that fans and supporters can enjoy as well. I want to do my best to accelerate this excitement even more! We hope to see you again this season!

This is the third year I have been chosen as a member of the selection committee. There are big changes over the course of a year, including the composition of each team and the condition of the players. Among those tough and survival battles, I believe that the importance of MMVP every month is very important, so I will work on it responsibly this season as well. We will continue to draw cool and lively pictures of the award-winning players, so let’s make B.LEAGUE more exciting!
