The first time a pig’s heart was fitted was death

Nab, the world’s first man to have a pig heart fitted surgically in the United States, died Tuesday.

David Bennett (57) is from the state of Maryland in the United States. He had a heart attack and on January 7 he had a surgically transplanted pig’s heart fitted. The Maryland Hospital, which operated on him, said his condition had improved.

Two months after the operation, David Bennett died on Tuesday. The doctors who treated him said that David Bennett’s health had only begun to deteriorate several days earlier. Doctors did not say the exact cause of his death.
