Homophobic chants: matches “interrupted” and “lost for the hosts”, announces the Minister of Sport

The decision is radical and immediate. Asked about the solutions to be adopted regarding homophobic chants in Ligue 1 stadiums, the Minister of Sport, Youth and Community Life Gil Avérous announced, speaking on BFMTV, that the matches will be “interrupted” and “lost for the “team of home”, starting this Sunday evening during the Clasico between OM and PSG at the Vélodrome.

This announcement follows the events of the eighth matchday of Ligue 1 last weekend with the presence of numerous homophobic chants at the Parc des Princes during the capital club’s victory against Strasbourg on Saturday evening (4-2).
