PSG President Storms Referee Room And Breaks Equipment After Champions League Defeat

by time news

PSG President Nasser Al Khalifi has been ruled out of the Champions League Premier League quarter-final defeat to Real Madrid. He was angry that the referee’s failure to make the right decisions in the match had led to PSG’s defeat, after which he went to the referee’s room to express his anger and smash his equipment, according to the referee’s report.

Real Madrid overcame a two – goal difference of just seventeen minutes in the second half, including a goal from PSG in the first quarter and a goal from the first half of yesterday’s match. Karim Benzema scored the first goal in the 61st minute before scoring in the 76th and 78th minutes to give Real Madrid the lead.

Arguments were raised during and after the match that Benzema fouled PSG goalkeeper Donarumma to snatch the ball in the build-up to Real Madrid’s first goal of the match. After the match, PSG coach Pochettino announced his protest. The PSG president also expressed his anger over the incident.

“He was assaulted and tried to enter the referee’s dressing room. When the referee asked him to leave, he picked up an assistant and smashed it.” The post-match referee’s report says.

The PSG president’s action was reportedly recorded by a staff member of Real Madrid. If it is sent to UEFA, action may be taken against him.
