During the period from January to August 2024, 480 kg of sturgeon caviar worth US$553,780.
As Day.Az reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee, compared to the corresponding period in 2023, the volume of exported caviar increased by 20% or at 80 kgand the price increased in price by 60% or by 208.5 thousand US dollars.
In the reporting period, the average export price of 1 kg of black caviar increased by 34% compared to the corresponding period in 2023, amounting to 1961 manats.
Black caviar was mainly exported to the UAE (210 kg), USA (140 kg), Kazakhstan (40 kg), Saudi Arabia (10 kg) and Singapore (10 kg).
This product was sold in the UAE for 1,717 manats, in the USA – for 1,378 manats, in Kazakhstan – for 3,400 manats, in Saudi Arabia – for 3,855 manats and in Singapore – for 3,624 manats.
During this period, 3,630 kg of black caviar worth 1 million 89.9 thousand US dollars were imported from China to Azerbaijan. The import price of this product was 510 manats.
It was recently reported that a Russian TV channel has laid out a “culinary route” across Azerbaijan.
