Home and Defense Ministers sworn in in Kuwait

In Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has been appointed Minister of Interior and Sheikh Talal Khalid Al-Ahmad Assabah has been appointed Minister of Defense.

The appointment is by special Amiri order. Both have the post of Deputy Prime Minister. The interior and defense ministers resigned last month in the wake of a rift between parliament and the government.

New ministers have now been appointed to fill the vacancy. Both were sworn in before Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
