Former Ambassador of Ivory Coast to Morocco Idrissa Traoré decorated with the Grand Cordon of Wissam Alaouit

This royal decoration was presented to Mr. Traoré by the ambassador of His Majesty the King in Côte d’Ivoire, Abdelmalek Kettani, during a ceremony organized at the Residence of Morocco in Abidjan, in the presence of several personalities from various backgrounds .

This ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of State and Special Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Ahoussou Jeannot, the President of the Senate, Kandia Camara, the Grand Chancellor of the National Order, Ally Coulibaly, the vice-president of the Independent Electoral Commission, Koné Sourou, as well as members of the Ivorian government and other personalities.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Kettani praised the work accomplished by Mr. Traoré during his successful diplomatic mission to the Kingdom, noting that his dedication, competence and diplomacy marked an exceptional contribution to the promotion of fraternal relations between the two nations.

For his part, Mr. Traoré indicated that this solemn decoration ceremony is also an opportunity to celebrate “the exemplarity and excellence of the age-old bonds of friendship, fraternity and cooperation which have so happily united our two countries since the establishment of their diplomatic relations on August 16, 1960.

He noted, in this sense, that the visits of His Majesty the King to Côte d’Ivoire “have always been marked by sincere cordiality and fraternity which we greatly appreciate.”

“Our satisfaction is all the greater because throughout His stays in the land of Eburnie, His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, has always multiplied simple gestures of sympathy and friendship which have given a dimension human and African in these visits, extremely rare events which demonstrate what relations between our two countries must cover, beyond economic and political interests, namely fraternity and solidarity”, he said.
