Mastercard intends to increase the number of NFC transactions in Azerbaijan

As Day.Az reports, Regional Manager of Mastercard in Azerbaijan Emil Zeynalov told Trend about this.

“We expect contactless payments to continue to grow and plan to have NFC transactions account for more than 40 percent of all domestic purchase payments by mid-2025. In addition, our team of consultants will play a key role in driving digital innovation and supporting the development of a cashless economy in Azerbaijan, this initiative is consistent with our broader strategy to create a more connected, efficient and inclusive financial system across the region,” he said.

According to him, Mastercard has expanded its office space, which reflects its growth and commitment to the Azerbaijani market.

“We are currently in the process of building a local team of consultants to support our new campaigns aimed at increasing customer engagement and digital innovation. These efforts are in line with our overall strategy to create an effective experience for our users and contribute to creating a more inclusive financial ecosystem in Azerbaijan “, he added.
