”This visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations in various areas, notably political, economic, commercial and linguistic”, indicated the same sources, specifying that this is the ”first bilateral trip of Mr. Albares abroad since the start of the new legislature”.
Thus, during his stay in Morocco, the head of Spanish diplomacy will hold meetings, in particular with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita.
It should be remembered that relations between Morocco and Spain experienced a strategic boost, following the meeting, in Rabat on April 7, 2022, between HM King Mohammed VI and the President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez.
The Joint Declaration adopted on this occasion underlines, among other things, the desire to perpetuate the relations of excellence which have always linked the two countries and reaffirms the determination to permanently enrich them, in a “spirit of trust and consultation”.
