/ Wissam Al Majd Paralympic Table Tennis Club from Baghdad won first place at the conclusion of the Iraq Paralympic Table Tennis Club Championship.
The Army Club team came in second place, and the Ashnouna Club from Diyala Governorate came in third place
The tournament took place in the Paralympic Committee hall in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of more than eighty male and female players representing the subcommittees and sports clubs (Diwaniyah – Maysan – Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf – Diyala), in addition to six clubs: (Wissam Al-Majd – Al-Ishraq – Al-Jaish – Basra – Al-Shumukh – Ashnouna).
The first deputy of the Paralympic Committee and head of the Paralympic Table Tennis Federation, Samir Al-Kurdi, announced that the tournament was named after the late Faiza Hussein, supervisor of the Iraqi Table Tennis Federation.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the President of the Wissam Al Majd Club instructed to honor the player, Najla Imad, for winning the gold medal in the Asian Games in China and qualifying for the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, and also to honor the club’s players after they won the Iraqi Table Tennis Club Championship title for the year 2023.
