Thirunakari Kalyana Renganatha Perumal Temple Panguni Festival started with the flag hoisting.
Kalyana Renganathar Temple
The most famous Kalyana Renganatha Perumal Temple is located in Thirunagari near Thiruvenkadu in Mayiladuthurai District. This temple is one of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desa temples. Here Thirumangaiyalwar is blessing in a separate shrine. There are also Pancha Narasimhar temples around this area. The Hiranya Narasimhar and Yoga Narasimhar shrines are located in this temple.
The Panguni festival at this temple with various specialties started with the hoisting of the flag yesterday. Following this, anointing and worship services were held at the flagpole. Then the flower was decorated and flagged to sound the drum rhythm.
Crowds of devotees
Then Deeparadhana was shown and offerings were made. A large number of devotees including temple administrator Gunasekaran, panchayat council chairman Sundararajan, Thiruvedupari festival committee chairman Alavandar, secretary Raghunathan and treasurer Rengarajan attended the Sami darshan.
