After installing the Jurisdictional Commission, its president, the deputy Hugo Eric Flores (Morena) assured that the investigations and processes in the case of requests for political trial will be carried out with complete impartiality and without any type of political bias.
“There will be no witch hunts or political slogans”, he stated, and highlighted the commitment to justice and transparency.
Flores mentioned that the Jurisdictional Commission has not yet received the files necessary to proceed, but stressed the importance of respecting due process.
He announced that the Instructor Section will be installed next week and the first work session of the Jurisdictional Commission will take place next Wednesday.
The deputy also mentioned that the system gives him a number of just over 240 requests for political trial and pending violations in the Chamber of Deputies, although the files delivered exceed a thousand.
He added that many of these cases are already statute-barred, so he will present a work program next week to address both the lagging cases and the new ones.
Regarding other pending cases, he mentioned that some, such as that of the former president of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Lorenzo Córdova, will be reviewed to determine if any administrative sanction is appropriate.
Flores emphasized that there will be no witch hunt, but there will be a lot of work in the Commission, which will draw on professional human resources to resolve cases efficiently.
Finally, the morenista clarified that they have not yet received any request against the Judge Nancy Juárez Salaswho asked to download the reform of the Judicial Branch from the Official Gazette of the Federation, so they will wait to receive it before making an official statement.
