/ The Al-Zawraa Club delegation left, on Friday morning, for Kuwait via the Safwan border crossing by land, in preparation for facing Al-Arabi Al-Kuwait next Monday in the fifth round of the AFC Cup group stage.
The team supervisor, Abdul Karim Razzaq, told Agency, “The number of the team was completed after all its players joined, especially the national team players, and they headed from Basra Governorate to Kuwait by land after the team arrived in Basra by air yesterday.”
Razzaq added, “The team will conduct a light training unit this evening and will conduct its usual training for the remaining days before the match, in preparation for facing Al-Arabi Kuwait in the AFC Cup tournament scheduled for November 27th of this month.”
The Iraqi Al-Zawraa Club had won against its Kuwaiti counterpart, Al-Arabi, at the beginning of its campaign in the first round of the AFC Cup in the match that took place at the Trunk of Palm Stadium in the city of Basra, last September and ended with a score of 1-2.
