Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov held negotiations with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbekom Omuraliev.
As Day.Az reports, within the framework of the 1st meeting of the Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Organization of the Turkic States, Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization of the Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
At the meeting, it was noted that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attaches special importance to cooperation with the Organization of Turkic States and notes the importance of the organization’s activities in terms of the effective use of the economic potential of the Turkic states and promoting the implementation of joint projects. Initiatives put forward by the member states of the organization are aimed at responding to modern challenges in the areas of trade, energy, investment, digitalization, etc., which contributes to strengthening regional cooperation along with the sustainable economic development of our countries. In this context, the main directions for expanding the partnership are the creation of the Turkic Investment Fund and Turkic Trading Houses, simplification of trade procedures, development of the digital economy and increased investment.
The parties also discussed issues of mutual interest in strengthening economic partnership within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
