President Putin has warned that global sanctions on Russia could push global food prices higher.
Speaking at a high-level consultative meeting with key government officials, President Putin said Western sanctions on Russia were illegal and that Russia would resolve the issue peacefully.
He said gas supply would continue to be provided on a contractual basis. Putin warned that the export of most fertilizers and resources from Russia and Belarus would soon push up global food and financing costs.
