People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon said on the 27th, “The People Power Party is free to speak against me or make fun of me, but I can’t imagine the Democratic Party of Korea harshly criticizing Representative Lee Jae-myung for judicial risks.”
At the ‘Reverse Interview “Uipower is a political party where healthy democracy is still alive,” he said.
He said, “As the party leader, I have many different opinions. “I think that is the right way,” he said. “My opposition to the president does not mean I am against the individual. “(The People Power Party) can publicly voice its opposition to the policy,” he said. It appears that he was referring to the situation in which President Yoon Seok-yeol is virtually not accepting the three demands, including refraining from activities, in relation to the solution to the issue of First Lady Kim Kun-hee, and the situation in which he is in conflict with the leadership in the House of Representatives over whether to recommend a special inspector general to resolve Ms. Kim’s risks.
When asked about ways to revitalize youth politics at the event, Representative Han said, “I respect individual freedom and believe that personal growth is very important, so the People Power Party is a party better suited to youth politics.” He has a sincere heart and is also very strategic and selfish. Without your support, we will fail. So, we have no choice but to go down that path.”
On this day, the reverse interview event was conducted in a way that the applicants were interviewed at the company they wanted to join, and young people interested in politics asked questions to the company called People Power. Attending the event were about 100 young people interested in political participation, and in addition to the party’s representative Han, Yoo Eui-dong, director of the Yeouido Research Institute, Jin Jong-oh, Supreme Youth Council member, Jang Seo-jeong, head of the Public Relations Division, and aides to current National Assembly members.
