Aiic, technological culture protagonist at clinical engineering conference

by time news

Beyond the NRP: towards a technological culture in support of health“: this is the theme of the XXII conference of the Italian Association of Clinical Engineers (Aiic), scheduled in Riccione from 12 to 15 June.” As professionals on the front line, we know very well that it is not enough to buy or renew technologies to produce effective and useful changes , as also the period of the first pandemic wave has taught us ”, underlines the president of Aiic Umberto Noccopresenting the appointment.

“As an association of professionals we have for some time placed ourselves in a position of careful observation with respect to a Plan – adds the president referring to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr) – which certainly infuses important resources for the country-system, but which requires great intelligence, planning and ability to look forward so that the great opportunity offered is not wasted. This is why we wanted to look beyond, imagine the post-PNRR ”.

The Aiic event, now a central meeting in the discussion on health technologies in their intersection with health policies – reads a note – will start from the reflection on the PNRR “which – specifies Lorenzo Leogrande, president of the conference – is making funding available to the country and the health care sector that will produce radical changes to the overall system of the treatment system, developing an unprecedented acceleration in the digital health and technology sector “.

“We are however aware – adds Leogrande – that we do not need ‘only’ individual projects or ‘interventions’, but a new reference platform for the whole systemwhich we call ‘technological culture’ capable of connecting all the elements that make up the framework of innovation in health care as a whole “.

To initiate and root this ‘technological culture’, Aiic has built, as part of the Rimini conference, a program of plenary and parallel sessions within which to meet stakeholders, political decision-makers, citizens and above all all professionals who work in healthcare to – as underlined by Nocco and Leogrande – “create the foundations of a new strategic, organizational and professional phase for the NHS” .

About four months after the conclusion of the National Conference in Milan, the association is therefore preparing for its 22nd annual event. The last appointment, on the theme “Towards a new SSN. Professionals, innovation and Pnrr” of 11 and 13 November, in Milan – concludes the note – recorded over 2,000 attendances, with 1,500 members enrolled, 800 participants in courses of training, over 250 speakers and about 90 industrial partners on an exhibition area of 2500 square meters.
