The Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qadirbuh, received, at the Authority’s office in Tripoli, a group of ambassadors of countries and representatives of international missions to discuss the Authority’s annual report No. (53) for the year 2023.

The meeting discussed “the nature of the report and its objectives, in addition to reviewing the technical and logistical support opportunities available from international partners.”

In his speech, Qadirbuh stressed “the importance of international cooperation in enhancing transparency and legal accountability, stressing the necessity of building strong oversight institutions that achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people for rational management of public resources.”

He explained, “The Commission welcomes international expertise that contributes to enhancing Libya’s ability to carry out effective and sustainable reforms.”

For their part, the ambassadors expressed “their countries’ commitment to supporting Libya at this critical stage, stressing the importance of joint work between international partners and the Administrative Control Authority to enhance the stability of Libyan institutions and contribute to building a better future for the Libyan people.”

The meeting was attended by the ambassadors of the United Kingdom, the State of Qatar, the Republic of France, the Republic of Italy, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Federal Republic of Russia, the Republic of Turkey, and the Republic of Algeria. The acting embassies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt also participated, in addition to the two United Nations support missions in Libya (UNSMIL). ) and the European Union.

According to what the Commission’s official Facebook page reported, this meeting is “a strategic step towards building effective partnerships between the Commission and the international community, and reflects a common desire to strengthen the system of integrity, transparency and good governance, which enables Libya to achieve the desired reforms within a framework of cooperation and integration with the parties.” International”.
