Notice given to 5 people
Health department officials have taken steps to deal with this outbreak. CMO teams have issued notices to 5 people for mosquito-borne conditions, so as to prevent the spread of dengue. At the same time, Dr. Sarvesh Singh, EMO of Balrampur Hospital, has alerted people about the seriousness of dengue fever.
He told that this fever is spread by the bite of mosquitoes, which usually breed in clean water. The rainy season creates favorable conditions for mosquitoes, leading to a sharp increase in dengue cases.

Emphasis is being given on awareness
However, fogging and spraying of anti-larva drugs is being done to control dengue. At the same time, the Health Department is emphasizing on spreading awareness against dengue, because there is no vaccine available for this disease. In such a situation, active role of the community through source reduction activities is important in dengue prevention and control.
Along with this, adequate number of NS-1 and IgM ELISA kits have been made available for testing dengue and chikungunya, so that quick testing and treatment can be ensured.
